Disney Princess gowns might conjure up images of unwillingly purchased dress-ups made of cheap polyester, but no more. High fashion and kids franchises have met in a creative collaboration with some of fashion's biggest names and only for public viewing until November 13 2013. Whether you're a fashionista or have a budding one in your family, this is a fun way for little (and big) girls to see a grown-up version of their princess fashion fantasies.
If you're in London's South Kensington this weekend, it's worth going to visit Christie's which has 10 gowns on display created by names such as Elie Saab, Versace and Roberto Cavalli. But these are not stock standard runway fare; the dresses have all been inspired by the likes of Disney favourites such as Ariel, Pocahontas, Snow White and Jasmine. The dresses will go under the hammer on November 13 to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. To find out more about the auction itself, click here.
