Ollie Brown (6) is a British expatriate living in Singapore with his parents and little sister, Lottie (5).  As well as being a keen rugby player and very good at LEGO, he has done quite a bit of travel around Europe and Asia and the family usually vacay internationally three to four times a year. For him, the greatest travel tip for successfully traveling with kids is for the family to spend time together, simple as that. He tells suitcases&strollers about his favourite family holiday memories (with a little help from his mother).

What are some of the countries you have travelled to?

·  Switzerland (my cousins live there)

·  England

·  Malaysia

·  Bangkok [Mum: I think you mean Lombok]

·  Bali; my sister nearly drowned [Mum: Not exactly true. Little sister versus big wave.]

·  Thailand

·  [Mum: Vietnam, Cambodia; you probably don’t remember when we took you to Australia or Spain!]

What do you like about travelling?

Seeing new things and I like to taste different food. We see different cultures and do things we don’t normally do, like snorkeling.

What don't you like about travelling?

Nothing. Sometimes I don’t like the food, but normally I do!

Where has been your favorite place to holiday?

Lombok (Gili Isles, Indonesia) because you go snorkeling off the beach and go on a glass bottom boat where you can fish AND snorkel. [Mum: Literally jumped into the ocean with no concerns!] I think kids would like the snorkeling and going on the glass bottom boat.

Are there any holidays that you've been on that you didn't like?

No, I’ve loved all my holidays.

Is there somewhere you regularly go on holidays and why do you like it?

UK (England) because it reminds me of when I used to live there. I like seeing my family, going to the farms and skateboard parks.

Batu Batu (Malaysia). [I like p]laying in the sea, kayaking with my Daddy – trying to find and follow turtles, rock pooling with my little sister with our buckets and nets.

What is the best thing you've ever seen or done on holidays?

Snorkeling with turtles in Lombok (the Gili Islands, Indonesia). I saw 5 turtles, 3 under water and 2 on top. It was AWESOME!

What do you get out of travelling that you don't get when you stay at home?

Spending time with my family. [Mum: No direction given from mummy!]

If you could plan the perfect holiday, where would it be and what would you do?

I would go with my Daddy to Africa to see the lions, giraffes, monkeys, rhinos, elephants, baby cubs and zebras. [Mum: Thanks for inviting me.]

What are the three best things that make a great holiday for kids?

·  Trying new things;

·  Making new friends;

·  Going on trips.
